UK Corporate Travel: Accor to open new hotels near Derby and Leeds

The Mercure Derby is expected to open its doors for travellers at the end of the year at the Derbyshire County Cricket Ground. The four-star hotel will feature 100 guestrooms and is the hotel chain’s 74th Mercure hotel in the UK. The Mercure Derby will be managed with the London Town Hotel Group under a franchise agreement. Currently, the Accor hotels Group has over 70 Mercure hotels across the UK and Ireland, including the recently opened Mercure at London Heathrow Airport.
The Ibis Styles Leeds Merrion Centre will increase the number from 92 Ibis Styles economy hotels to 93 hotels in the UK. The new addition will contain 134 guestrooms and is expected to open in 2016.
Both new UK hotels, demonstrates Accor’s commitment to strengthening its portfolio of budget and midscale hotels. Travellers, who are members to the Accor hotel loyalty programme ‘Le Club Accorhotels’ can earn 500 bonus points for their stay at a participating Mercure hotel in the UK or Ireland.
