Flybe partner with Avios for new frequent flyer programme
28th October 2014
Following its partnership with the reward currency group Avios the regional airline Flybe announced a new Frequent Flyer programme, effective from this week. The new reward scheme replaces the airline’s previous “Rewards4All” Frequent Flyer programme. The newly introduced Avios reward scheme offers greater redemption opportunities as well as the ability to earn points through various names such as Tesco, Shell, British Airways and Iberia. Clients will now be able to earn points through frequent travel and spend them on flights, cruises, and Eurostar as well as on various extras such as car hire or hotel stays.
How to earn Avios points with Flybe?
Travellers flying with Flybe can earn Avios points on the ticket value andexcluding government tax. The amount of points travellers can earn, depends on the type of Flybe ticket each traveller uses as specified on Flybe’s website. Travellers with ‘Just Fly’ or ‘Get More’ tickets can earn 2 Avios points per £1 spent, whereas travellers with a Flybe ‘All In’ tickets can earn 4 Avios points per £1 spent. To become eligible to collect frequent flyer points, travellers must enrol in the Flybe Avios Frequent Flyer Membership offered via the airline’s website.
What happens with your existing Rewards4All points? Any points you have collected via the airline’s previous ‘Rewards4All’ frequent flyer programme will have to be redeemed within six months starting from the announcement date of October.
The new agreement is part of Flybe’s aim to offer greater benefits and flights with added value to their clients. Targeting business travellers, Flybe’s five additional domestic routes operating out of London City Airport started to operate on 27th October 2014, offering direct services to destinations including Belfast, Edinburgh, Inverness and Dublin.
