Business travel agent announces Germany – Lufthansa flight disruptions due to ground staff strike on 22nd April 2013

Business travel agent update: The trade union ver.di has announced industrial action for 22nd April 2013, which will involve ground staff at several german airports. Severe effects on Lufthansa flight operation and flight cancellations are expected.

As a business travel agent we encourage all travellers, who have planned a flight from or to Germany to check their flight status on Lufthansa’s list of cancelled flight and to keep checking the website for the latest updates.

The following airports are affected:

Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart, Hanover, Dusseldorf, and Cologne

Travellers affected by flight cancellations may change their booking or have their ticket refunded free of charge, according to Lufthansa. All passengers whose Lufthansa flights on 22nd April are not cancelled have the option to make one rebook, provided the ticket has been issued on or before 20th April 2013.
