Business travel agent informs KLM to charge for checked-in baggage

Business travel agent informs travellers that KLM is introducing new baggage rules for European flights as part of its “Choice and Control” service. From 14th May 2013, the Dutch Carrier KLM will charge short-haul passengers for their checked-in luggage as follows:

• 15.00 EUR in advance (one way)
• 30.00 EUR at the airport (one way)
• Hand luggage remains free

However, if the luggage does exceed the dimensions of 55cmx25cmx35cm and the 12kg allowance the bag will be placed in the hold and the passenger will be charged a fee of 30.00 EUR at the gate.
