Snow Storm Nemo is approaching Northeast US & Eastern Canada Airports

Due to forecasted winter weather and the expected snow storm for Northeast Coast US & Eastern Canada, several airlines have reported flight delays and cancellations for the time period from 8th – 10th February 2013. The adverse weather may also impact public transport to and from airports within the relevant area.

We would like to encourage all travellers, who have planned a flight to airports within the US Eastcoast or eastern Canada to check the flight status with their airline.

So far the following flight disruptions have been reported:


08th February 2013
• flights from and to Boston – cancelled
• flights from and to New York JFK -cancelled
• flights from and to New York Newark – cancelled

09th February 2013
• flights from and to New York JFK – cancelled
• flights from and to New York Newark – cancelled

Please check the status of your flight with the airline for latest information on all Virgin Atlantic flights schedules before you travel to the airport. UK mobile phone users can also update their mobile phone details in MyBooking to receive text messages in the event of other significant disruptions.

Essential information for travellers away from home:

It is vital that all passengers on cancelled Virgin Atlantic flights who are away from their usual place of residence register on Virgin Atlantic’s “Away From Home List” and give accurate contact details. Please submit your details via Virgin Atlantic’s away from home link.


8th and 9th February 2013Disruptions and delays are expected for BA, AA or IB operating flights from and to the following airports:

New York (EWR, JFK, LGA), Buffalo (BUF), Boston (BOS), Hartford (BDL), Westchester County (HPN), Rochester (ROC), Ottawa (YOW), Montreal (YUL), Syracruse (SYR), Watertown – NY (ART), Kitchener – ON (YKF), Quebec (YQB)

BA125 customers whose BA, AA or IB flight is CANCELLED please contact your Flightline Travel Consultant for re-book/refund options.
