Business Travel to Belgium
In case you are were unaware International business travellers working more than five consecutive days during a single month in Belgium now are required to register with the country prior to entry. The Belgian government on April 1 launched a Web site at http://www.limosa.be/ through which employers can register on behalf of travellers prior to entry into the country. While there are exceptions for some travellers, the Belgian Social Security Administration noted penalties for non compliance. We have spoken with the Belgium government regarding this matter and it affects even EU passengers travelling on business. This is an information gathering exercise by their government and is not designed in anyway to limit entry.
